Contact Lens Hygiene

/

Please read below and watch this video for more general info on maintaining healthy eyes.

Now, more than ever it is important that you follow a strict hygiene routine when inserting and removing lenses.

  • Always wash and dry your hands thoroughly before handling your contact lenses. This applies to both inserting and removing your lenses.
  • When washing your hands use warm, soapy water and the recommended technique for 20 seconds.
  • When drying your hands, you should do so thoroughly using a clean towel or paper towel.

For healthy contact lens use, all wearers should follow the usual instructions. As daily disposables don’t require cleaning or storage, they remain the safest and most hygienic option. Please do remember to follow good hygiene practices generally. If you are unwell, for example with cold or flu-like symptoms, it is unlikely that you will feel like wearing your lenses. It is good practice to avoid wearing lenses under these circumstances.

Our Customer Care team will be happy to provide general guidance but if you require any clinical or professional support please call your doctor or eyecare practitioner.
